I don't know if it's too early for me and I'm just missing something, but it is hard for me to see the point in the cartoon. Yet, the art and mouth syncing wasn't too bad.

[Dark matter]

Graphic style is nice. The effect used on the pool of black stuff and as the guy was rising up was done very well. However, being so short with no real purpose or sound it's hard to rate this any higher. If it is the start of a bigger project then I think the artist is on the right track.
